Paolo, energy lost from solar at worst becomes only the heat that would have happened if neither we nor nature used it at all. So any and all use we can put it to is a triumph over destruction. Rather than lamenting what we lost from it, we should celebrate what we can put to use from it.
The opposite is true of energy extracted from Earth. All of it is destruction. Whatever we create by it is less than what the planet lost by our use of it, and always the energy lost to heat is heat which would not exist if we hadn't extracted the energy in the first place.
See how different this is?
Use of solar is creation, Extraction is destruction.
Destructon is unsustainable, creation is unlimited and sustainable forever.
This isn't my idea, just an observation of nature, I use my technical education and experience to analyse nature, to see where it is going, and how we have to work with it.
Hydrogen, like money, isn't optional, both are needed to transport energy to all needing it, including all the machines that fly in the air.
Until we start using it, sourced from solar, to functionally replace fossil fuels, we'll keep seeing less and less aircraft flying, until there are none.
The systemic evidence apart from that is overwhelming, all the dystopia we are seeing, the inflation, the rising difficulty of just making profit, the burning planet, is due to the same thing at the heart of it all, the progressive increasing difficulty of extraction / profit, and the harmful effects of it all, and the consequentially growing, unmonetised solar economic product.
Nature is squeezing us from all angles, manifesting even in Ai, to get us to do the right thing.
We do it or die, this is the bottom line.
