Now you / we (your readers) are back to full on dooming.
You strike me as a very intelligent person Mike, and a very likeable one, and I am sure you are acting with best of heart.
But what you are saying here is something you believe, from your own life experience, like maybe working as a standard energy slave like most of us in the system, and unless you somehow broke out of that and did the legwork of someone studying the physical energy system for many years, you really can have no firm physical basis for your belief, just conditioning.
The fatal, unsustainable system, absolutely a live thing, an emergent property way above our ability to think at its level, conditions us to believe there is no alternative to it.
Its an illusion that it very successfully puts on us, it's done it so long we mostly can't see it any longer.
This affects the way we think, in ways we actually can't see, we end up looking at something like a mirror of the truth, it's all inverted, all built on a basic energy lie, the lie of profit.
It might be this was necessary to get us to now, or at least to about 120 years ago, but it's no longer necessary, in fact now it has continued about 120 years longer than it should have, it's already done an awful lot more damage than it should have, but it's all still repairable, if we can just start to see that what we see isn't the truth, it's a mirror image of the truth.
We think we are creating when we are actually destroying. We think we are fixing problems when we are actually just making them worse.
We think we are cooling the planet when we are actually heating it worse.
We think we are empowering people when actually we are impoverishing them.
We think we are helping stop genocide when actually we are just making it worse.
These are all just examples of how we have inverted logic, as necessary to perpetuate the energy lie of profit.
Everything built on that lie has to be the truth inverted, so as not to risk exposing the foundation lie itself.
We say the problem is we don't have enough energy.
This is a selected sub part of the truth, which when told just by itself, is a sales pitch, selling the narrative that we can only use energy extracted from the planet.
It would be just as true to say we have too much energy.
Its all around us, it's what is burning the planet, heat energy.
The reason we don't say that is to avoid running into the logical and political difficulties of explaining that it comprises three components; 1. the heat thrown out as a waste product of the work of energy extraction (including refinement etc) . 2. the heat thrown out as a waste product of the extracted energy we put to use. 3. The heat energy of solar energy not put to use by either us or nature.
This summarises where all non volcanic heat energy comes from.
When it gets political, in terms of religion, and hence on into things like race, is when we point out that there is another, growing energy source being added to the mix, signifacant use of which ultimately has to remove all three sources of heat generation, replacing them instead with even more cooling processes. Of course it's the energy of the sun, put to use as things other than heat.
The reason this gets religion and race political, is that it's the difference between creation and destruction, literally, this is where its all at, the central point of the big debate of our human origins with implications on all religion and all science.
The truth is there had to be creative input, "nature" by itself can't sustain creation, there has to be "intelligent" intervention, intelligent life, to keep it all going, it needs to be put back on the rails now and then.
That task is now down to us, this is what our overall purpose is and always was, but we got distracted by the energy lie of profit, it seems to me.
Now we have the choice of perpetuating the energy lie to its grim conclusion, or to expose and destroy the energy lie and have a new world of real energy abundance which is almost impossible to imagine right now.
The truth is we are literally starving the energy of the planet and all life, by refusing to use the energy of the sun, the only way it can be used - for free, as given by the sun.
By doing this, we are digging our heels into destruction, and continuing destruction, it's suicide as a species, taking all life with us, by our own actions, under the control of an emergent property which can only exist on energy extracted, never on enetgy donated from the external energy source, which is the sun.
Never again we see a more vivid demo of all the old quotes becoming actually for real, and very physical; we wil absolutely reap what we sow, lies or truth, optimism or pessimism, life or death. We can choose life by literally getting busy living, or we can choose death by literally getting busy dying.
Your belief as stands looks like you are making the choice to get busy dying, whilst maybe influencing a few others to do the same.
So for now the scarcity enforcement and all it's consequences including a burning planet and mass death / culling and genocide dictated by the emergent property will continue as, necessary for us to keep destroying whilst continually downsizing, to keep step with ever depleting extractable energy resources, ensuring it lives whilst we die for it, as long as it can.
Or we could just push for the outstanding solar indexed stimulus owed for the economic product created to date since around 2005, to be paid out, empowering us and incentivising us to immediately go to solar hydrogen on a domestic and community basis.
In UK it's more than 500 Billion now.
In US it's probably more.
Why not push for that, instead of dooming?
