Not a presumption, it is 100% screamimg physical fact that solar energy is free, whereas all other forms of energy require extraction labor in return for every Joule received. Hence why solar generates no pollution, because pollution is generated only by extraction. It is a trick of the old system rewarding greed, demanding always something is given in return for anything received, that we generally do not realise money should be issued corresponding to reception of solar energy, as opposed to promises to pay, which in the end are ultimately promises to do the labor of extraction.
This is the hardest part about solar to get accepted. When it is accepted, as it inevitably has to be, sooner or later, since it is the only sustainable form of energy, all others look incredibly weak, as they should.
On land requirement and resources, just look around you, we all have surfaces that could be put to use as communities, to maximise the amount of solar energy received, when it is realised that this is how to maximise our individual incomes as a population.
The sensible way to convert the solar energy received to a physical form which functionally replaces fuel, is to convert it directly to hydrogen. This will encourage all batteries to be replaced by fuel cells, which require no toxic materials. When hydrogen is produced by all communities and all businesses, refueling points will become ubiquitous for all transportation, not only removing the need for the toxic materials in batteries, but also the wait times for them to be recharged.
On whether or not it will happen, it has to, to stop inflation.
We currently have already tens of GigaJoules of solar energy being put to use in every developed country, but no money being issued on it.
So money is becoming increasingly less representative of valuable product doing actual physical work.
We can't get around that, this is physical reality, an actual physical reason for inflation, which has only one fix, money must be issued on solar power received.
The reason it has not yet hit mainstream news is that issue of massive free money will remove the power from those currently wielding capital, to gain yet more power/wealth, suddenly their capital will be worth nothing, if we all get free money, we all get to vote in markets, putting money towards the things that matter to us, the majority, rather than the low-brow egotistical whims of the richest, who currently also have control of all media, and all narratives, hence why we hear nothing of this, probably the biggest news story in all our history.
We saw the effects already when oil prices went negative, and a stack of other good results, even the dollar going up in value, rather than down, and the environment showing the only positive spike of recovery ever, when 4Tn per month was issued in US. We can justify all of that, by considering it as "Kardashev Money", that is money issued to reflect solar energy received and put to use.
As long as it isn't done, we continue to die as a species, because we are destroying all of irreplaceable nature, which was all created from solar energy in the first place.
We either believe that those in power will never allow this to happen, or that they will stand aside and let it happen.
I believe they will do the right thing, sooner or later, the only question is when.
