*Noobs" is a term of instant, egotistical dismissal. What we are seeing is people, billions of people, asking awkward questions, not getting satisfactory answers, so putting across their own theories. That collective will learn more than any traditonally established group of scientists, it seems to me. To me, the whole establishment feels under threat from the collective, which in the end is the greater force. It has to win in the end.
