To me we can't blame individual humans though, even the leaders, we have to blame what drives all humans, the force which until recently was always hidden, we could only describe it biblically, "The Beast", moloch, profit monster. We didn't understand how there is intelligence in the collective which actually controls things, and it can be harmful to us individually to try to tackle it, because everyone who doesn't understand it works for it as agents without even realising it. Each one of us contributes to the harmful system because we have no choice, we have to use money as debt to supply our bodies with the 3kWhrs or so each of us needs to metabolise per day, This makes us energy slaves, technically, even the richest, and those thinking they are in control, or will have control, they must realise they have no control sooner or later, there is no way to enforce "Good", only "Bad" can be enforced.
I think we have reached a one-off point in history which really is a kind of "day of reckoning", where the power of truth is what will win, only it is compatible with the mathematically positive energy of the sun, we can only have it by truth, never by lies or deceipt, I think it has to win, because it has limitless energy behind it, whereas the energy we've been living on extracted from the planet, using the financial instrument of profit, is finite, and almost exhausted to the point of no longer supporting profit by itself, in fact we've even started to abuse solar, to prop up flagging profits, that also has to be physically unsustainable, it's all pushing up the global temperature all the faster. It wil be interesting to see how powers like Saudi Arabia in an already desertified part of the world, react to even hotter temperatures, there has to be a physical limit of what can be done with aircon, they must be getting close to that limit, and when those systems fail, an awful lot of people will be lost, even the richest, they won't withstand literally burning heat.
