Nigel Farage is Wrong
It is not true that banning fracking prevents energy independence for UK
On energy, and environment, Nigel has it all wrong.
Today on his channel, GB news, we listened as he heaped some justified praise on Sunak, but then, commenting on Sunak’s decision to again ban fracking, delivered the bombshell statement:
“We will not be energy independent under Sunak”
There is proof in this world already, that this is not true Nigel!
The proof is in the story of Vietnam’s success of going solar.
Look there, we see the perfect proof, that solar is more than capable.

What they have is a government who issued an incentive to encourage solar, probably only meant as lip service to satisfy “Green” lobbyists, the government hoped to fill an energy shortfall which they identified was around 850MW, so that was their target.
What they got was 16.5GW, in only 18 months or so.
Now they are at war with those solar farms, realising that armed with those, the people quickly become energy independent, of even their own government.
They seem to be still missing the technology of hydrogen, which they could use to achieve 24/7 backup, and distribution of excess energy to transportation and other things needing it, but it will not be long until they latch onto this being the technical solution to their issue, of not knowing what to do with the excess generated power.
Yes they live in a hotter local climate than we have in UK, or any other Northern European country, but they did it with such an obvious margin of excess, it should be taken as reassurance to all of us that we absolutely can achieve energy independence, all of us in every country with reasonable sunlight, by going solar, on a community basis backed up by hydrogen.
And we do have plenty with the technical knowledge of hydrogen.
The revolutionary way to do the transition to solar is controversial, “Kardashev Money”.
(Look it up here in Medium if you don’t know what it is)
It is not true that solar is insufficient, or not practical, or whatever other accusation is claimed to try to devalue it, all of that misinformation comes from big energy companies, like the kind Nigel seems most interested in.
I would put money on him having money in at least one of them.
