Nice account of some cool ideas, thanks for posting.

All will come very quick when the right funding environment appears, I believe.

We are in process of plugging into the sun, as our source of energy, and wealth.

Since that wealth is donated for free from the sun, it will not be long until we see no longer any need for scarcity. Hence the ideas of profit will not be with us much longer. So in the very near future, we will find funds for projects which benefit humanity, but have no need to make profit.

Then, I am sure we will see all manner of projects like these, and others yet to be imagined, being fully funded.

That is when the real space race will begin, after humanity is united by having no further need to profit from one another.

That can’t come soon enough, I think!
