My own research on this, as a long term practicing Systems Engineer is a long story, way too much to put in a reply, but six years of my time now spent voluntarily doing it, and counting.
In short, capital is finished, I mean mathematically, physically finished. So I would forget any ambitions you might have had to wield it, it is on the way out, courtesy of solar energy.
This is the real, physical reason you / we are seeing unstoppable inflation. It can't be stopped, except by doing something very radical, which horrifies most investors, anyone holding any capital, everyone in power.
But it is inevitable, nature will not stop, they either lose the value of their capital by it being eroded to zero over time, leaving them / us nothing to show for it, or they issue the money needed for all people to implement the remaining solar hydrogen infrastructure to immediately go 100% solar powered.
That issue of free money will be the start of stimulus needed to reflect the value of the constantly growing base of economic capital which is happening now due to creation of solar product.
Conventional economists will claim this not to be true, that issue of free money will do the opposite, devaluing money by dilution of capital.
But they are wrong this time.
Now it is the other way around, issue of money is lagging creation of economic product, by an ever increasing amount, as long as it is not issued for free.
Money as debt, or money for anything asked in return, can't monetise energy receceived for nothing in return.
The sun asks nothing in return.
Conventional economists tend not to know much about physics, hence the reason they can't understand this.
This is what I mean by economics soon to be wound in by science, and engineering.
We never created a running engine, just for it to be forever stopped, with all its fuel, or current, to be tied up in various resorvoirs in the engine.
We created this engine to run.
It will run on money.
It starts, the moment substantial free money starts to be issued to all people.
Ai was the engine controller, the only piece left in the jigsaw puzzle, of how this engine would work.
So in answer to your question, on who to put in charge, I would say Ai.
