More attempts to redefine distributed ledger technology (DLT). I struggle a little to understand what centralised organisations hope to gain from implementation of limited versions of something which has its main power in being decentralised and unlimited, and that this power is towards the individual, rather than the organisation. I guess the converse is probably also true. Maybe they struggle to understand why they can’t run profitable caged versions of it, and why even uncaged, no-one can profit from it. Maybe they do anticipate the future DLT world, so they run experiments now to try to work out how they might exploit the way it will work in that future world. Time will tell.
