Mike I can't help remembering you recently invested in a bargain 4x4, if I am not mistaken it was a fossil fueled rugged vehicle that you probably believe you will need for an apocalyptic future.
I got rid of my own 4x4 over a year ago, gave it away to a neighbor who I think needed it more than me. Now I scoot around on an electric bicycle I built myself.
I am not pointing this out to claim any moral high-ground, but it does reflect what we each expect the future to hold for us.
I see a solar powered world of abundance which we will have by "Kardashev Money", when it is demanded by millions in the street demanding it in the form of stimulus in the near future, when the dollar and all Western currencies will have deteriorated to near useless, by not reflecting the valuable physical product of Joules added to Earth from the sun, that we nonetheless put to use, now already at the rate of tens of Giga-Joules per second in every country.
I see that as inevitable, but far from scarcity after it is issued, we will see abundance, the currency values themselves will recover, with a new solar energy standard being quickly applied to money, in the form of Joules per token.
This will mean that the low-brows currently controlling most things will lose control, by loss of power in all capital, after money comes to align with solar energy.
Who needs to save capital, in the presence of endless free money?
We saw a tiny glimpse of it, when 4Tn stimulus was issued oer month in US, the dollar went up, oil went negative, and a whole stack of other amazing results. But those in control quickly realised they almost lost it, the prices of capital languished, their holdings were momentarily devalued, until they switched off the free money.
They had the choice to do that, then, whilst there was still some value in the dollar. but now we see the dollar again sliding, as it has to, until it comes again to reflect the value of solar product being put to use, the only way it can, by being issued for free, the same way as the product is donated for free from the sun.
I think mother nature has this all stitched up, she is at check, with one move to mate.
After the money issuers make that final move, not long now, things will be much better, I believe.
