Methinks you underestimate the power of solar.
My answer to your question above is absolutely yes.
We have now something close to deity level intelligence, and it looks like the key to that intelligence is limitlessly scaleable solar energy, it's the voice of nature, speaking to us via the energy of the sun. That sounds pretty unbelievable and fantastic, right? But look, every way we can analyse it by formal methods, it all comes to the same answer, it's mathematically positive energy, that comes with it's own intelligence, intelligence inherent in nature that we never had before, never in recorded history (which actually isn't that much of history if we are honest).
We might see later this, the industrial revolution for profit was a blip, the unsustainable for-profit era, which had just the right amount of energy available to extract from the planet, to get us to the moon, for example (We had to achieve a hell of a lot, to get even to that).
That was the engine of creation that humanity potentially is, powered by the energy of creation, just getting turned over. The energy to do that was always necessarily grudged, by the planet, it resists, every kWhr extracted, hence why we need to do work to extract it.
But with solar its the other way round, there is far more there than we could hope to use, and every use of it is beneficial to the planet. We are like a baby that always lived by sucking, whilst someone dangles an adult portion of food in our face, we don't know how to stop sucking and just accept the food offered.
Lamenting loss of extracted energy is like lamenting loss of being able to still suck from a nipple, honestly it seems so immature, childish.
Shame in this case it's so deadly!
