It sounds very like schrodingers cat.

But we can interpret some historical things as evidence or not.

Interesting that conventional science, and humanity, has no framework to maintain any would-be basic rule of “Thou shalt not kill”, without religion, look where we are with that, and maybe realise if there was religion, it was for a reason, a very good reason, maybe even existential.

Maybe it is not so clever to deny all possibilities that we might have been created by some superhuman intelligence(s), who tried to leave us some good advice, in riddle form that we might one day make better sense of, given evolution of intelligence, as well as all other things.
