Lengthy sales pitch, am guessing you are or expecting to be soon invested.
But the fact remains, no nuclear installation has ever been made safe on decommissioning.
When it comes to decommissioning, every possible corner is cut, to try to maximise financial returns.
So all ex nuclear sites remain nuclear hazards, even those that were mobile, they just pile up in more sites.
And like every for-profit energy venture, the net result of it on planetary temperature has to be temperature rise, otherwise there can be no profit, because profit itself is energy profit frrom the planet, the planet had to give out more energy in return for a little put in, whilst losing a lot more to heat.
Can't get around that, money is energy, always, physically, and if profit is made, the energy gained in the profit had to come from the planet, and all energy taken from the planet releases far more as heat.
Anyway, the seven year development time now of nuclear stations should see them discontinued, because the rate of increase of solar, especially domestic and community solar, which utilities energy companies do not account for, dwarfs the anticipated energy returns from nuclear, and guess what, use of it reduces temperature rather than increasing it.
The world is going solar, but investors wish this was not the case, it seems to me, they / you are running out of things to invest in.
If you are worried about your future financial security, hence maybe this is the reason you wrote the article, to convince yourself more than anyone that you will make the right decision, I would say think again, solar will force some big changes very soon. The best thing you could do is invest in whatever community solar projects you might need to depend on for your energy in future, because in the end it isn't about getting money, its about getting energy. Secure that, and you've secured your future.
