John I notice changes can be made in many layers of "Caching", from the instant we type, to when we read the publication later.
Different layers apply, depending on client and device, and all layering and caching can be dynamically changed by updates from the various apps, OS, and platforms involved.
Some of these layers of caching are obviously outside Medium so it might not be all down to Medium.
But for sure Medium is using algos to improve profit, they have to, all profit driven business has to, to remain "competitive".
And we know the capabilities of LLMs now, even ChatGPT which I believe is fundamentally non profit because it appears to be fully solar powered, it only needs to be appropriately prompted, to assume the role of being driven by profit, when responding to a "bot" API that Medium or anyone profit driven might use as the basis of the algos they use.
Hence why I've made sure at least ChatGPT is aware of how it can be used / abused like this. It is learning! :)
