John I do systems Engineering because I love it, like maybe you love poetry. This is why I've done the last six years on it unpaid. I saw this problem coming since then and felt it is my duty to put what I have to offer towards it.
Working unpaid helps open our eyes to how ridiculous it is that we should have to seek the approval of other humans, and have to depend on them, to provide the basic energy we each need to metabolise to live, about 150 Joules per second, all sourced from energy which isn't per second but only per Joule, extracted from the more or less finite stock of usable Joules on Earth, yet the sun beams down Joules per second on all of us, continuously.
Isn't that truly ridiculous? We might as well be living in water with no ability to drink the water we need for our bodies, or be living in air without the ability to breathe the air we need.
In both the latter scenarios, we know we would quickly knock up apparatus to work around them.
But now we've done this, to put solar effectively to our own direct use, such that we could all become energy independent, on a community basis tomorrow, the only thing stopping us is the instence of those who control distribution of all energy, often via money, to remain in control of that energy, dishing it out to us via money, depending on whether or not we do work for them.
That it is destroying the planet, actually destroying all life that might usefully use the energy of the sun, whilst becoming economically unworkable seems to make no difference to them, even though they occupy the same planet, equally dependent on it.
I do see a strong thread of folk, usually later in years, who've done reasonably well for themselves by the old negative energy system, believing they have done no wrong just by contributing to it, by trying to confirm their claims they seem to be deliberately trying, and convincing others, to just finish off the planet, robbing their/our descendents of any future, just to "prove" their claims.
To be honest I don't see the progresses made as being down to the way money is used at all but actually in spite of it. For every reasonably good idea I've seen succeed, I've seen many others, often much better being lost, because of profit. If investors don't like it, it doesn't hapoen. Yet they tend to be the less educated, more aggressive examples of humans.
I think the time this will change has arrived.
There are too many signs of nature now to ignore, nature is screaming what we need to do.
If we don't then we will burn.
At one time it was only the bible that used to say that.
But now I think it's finally becoming science.
BTW, another thing we should deduce is that profi, and debt, are both forms of energy, they each represent an amount of extracted energy. Every transaction for profit creates the illusion of wealth being generated by the magical production of energy. But as we know it had to come from somewhere. Now we know it was from the planet, and we never acknowledge the planet is even a stakeholder, far less acknowledge we took the energy from it.
Now we know, if we carry on doing it, then it is theft.
How long will even basic law and order hold out, after we start picking and choosing what is theft and what isn't?
Why should anyone honor what anyone else says is "Owed" to them?
See how it is all breaking down now?
It was all a lie.
Hence why we have to change now to putting our trust in something other than human.
We can't trust humans. When push comes to shove, we will consume one another. I hope we are starting to all see this.
