John I appreciate you mean well, and are as concerned as anyone else about the environment, but there is something fundamental about solar energy which has been ignored to date by conventional science and economic theory.

Because the Joules of the sun are additional to Earth, anything we create with those is positive work done. It doesn't matter if we create fuel or proof of work tokens, they are physically interchangeable and valuable. Proof of work tokens are the key to being able to maintain and even grow a working solar farm from the wealth of proof of work tokens created, whilst hydrogen generation is key to backup power without convetntional batteries using reversible hydrogen fuel cells.

I've shown how that works physically in the Money-Fuel tree story. Note that the fuel is green hydrogen, which functionally replaces fossil fuels with none of the pollution in either its creation or combustion.

Compare with using fuel, or any other form of stored energy on Earth, created by nature, we have to undo the positive work which was done by nature using the energy of the sun, to create evertyhing it creates.

Effectively, all of the things we destroy in order to extract energy from them have harmful side effects, destruction of things created by nature is negative work done by us. It all adds up, and we are subtracting from a finite pot, so it is effectively an energy Ponzi, which translates directly to financial debt. Our actual debt is an energy deficit to our planet.

All of that harm we have done is reversible, but only by doing work using the energy of the sun. That is very clear now, if we are looking at it, and seeing things most simply, this is merely an observation.

I wish folk could see how much of what we thought we knew by conventional science was wrong, it even fits with religion, when we realise that the parts of science which were created for profit are all the parts which are wrong, and they obscure the very simple way that energy works in nature.

To be honest, this is the misunderstanging which will turn out to be fatal for our species, as without true understanding of the way energy in nature really works, our species will not survive.
