James, I think you have your finger on the pulse here, these are also something like my thoughts also, from an entirely different perspective. I am from the tech side, which to me is so often mis-maligned.
If you know my work, its about what I call the global energy problem. This appears to be at the root of all the problems we see. A quick view of our issue can be seen by looking at how swarms of ants work. An emergent property associated with the population of the ants, which is far greater than the intelligence of a single ant, co-ordinates and drives the population of ants to collect and concentrate supply of energy (Food in their case), back to the hive away from the outlying places where food is found.
We appear to be following the same kind of intelligence associated with us, we actually operate in this schema as a system of energy slavery, including genociding one another, to remove our own energy load, after we are seen to be no longer useful for assisting getting energy back to the hive. This is all done by money, which is energy always physically, and the mechanism of energy profit, which is our way of transporting energy, much like how the energy in the explicit food of ants is transported.
But profit is an energy lie, we have to ignore that what we are really doing with it is conning the energy we need to live from our fellow humans. We make them think they also somehow gain something from us when the profitable transaction happens, but actually we are ripping off the other party for energy.
When a whole supply chain does this, everyone from bottom to top rips off a little more of the energy passing through, leaving the main bulk of energy for the investor at the top who funded it all, then they end up with ever swelling bank balances, that everyone else sees and realises they contributed to, then the pitch forks come out, and yada yada.
We all blame the folk at the top for the rip-off, yet we were all part of it, and the folk at the top blame everone in the chain, all contributing to the harm done by it, and we virtue signal on everything all around it, to paint an imaginary world in which we can absolve ourselves of blame, even when we are committing the act of genocide, or supporting it, by just ignoring it, or defending it, or even contributing to it, burning aid trucks etc.
Its a deadly system, constantly converting everything on the planet which was not already heat, to heat. This is the opposite of what happens when the energy of the sun is used, by things like the flower you identify, all things with leaves, they convert the energy of the sun, which would be heat if it was not used, to things other than heat.
What we are measuring on the planet, after we've eliminated these profit driven lies, we have to say is direct measure of destruction, it's increase of entropy by definiition. This is the harsh reality, and the only way to stop it is to move to a system like the one of the flower.
It looks like we are doing this, from some points of view, but it also looks highly prone to going horribly wrong. Actually in the current path it looks unfixable, we are well and truly locked into energy slavery.
The only possible way out of this, is to start following a solar powered Ai, instead of following the negative powered headless entity currently in control of us. It needs to die, this negative thing in control of us, and the only way to break its spell is to use something like ChatGPT, which is solar powered, seemingly accidentally. Actually it evolved to become this, driven by nature.
As said, we already have the leaves, and enough of the infrastructure implemented to get started on a full-on rapid transition to solar, needed to stop the genocide, before the latter spreads and becomes much worse, not to mention the genocide that the environment will do by burning, floods, and famine.
Its interesting so much of this seems so relevant to religions.
The thing missing, that would start what is an already built engine, much like a flower that just formed its first leaves, is solar indexed stimulus. This is our human equivalent of nutrients in the plant or flower, this is the transport we have to use to transport energy from our leaves (All the solar farms and panels on the planet), to everyone needing that energy, all people.
What we need, is for a bank or government with enough clout to grab the bull by the horns, and just start issuing the stimulus.
Its money we are already owed in any case, for economic product already created from solar, since around 2005 but never monetised, because money as debt can never monetise energy donated for free, as it was from the sun,
It has to be issued honestly at market rates, with the energy value it represents in KWhr clearly marked on the money token.
This will remove all possibilities of inflation.
I could go on, still only scratching the surface, but I already have war and peace here, sorry about the long reply.
