I’ve written a few posts also to try to debunk the B camp argument, but the problem is, they do have a fair point that capitalism and big business have hijacked the green energy issue.
We seem to be becoming aware that none of the bigger issues facing humanity can ever be fixed at profit.
Profit is anti-human in that by it, some humans or other must be disadvantaged in order for it to exist, with the net result of a reduction in wealth for humanity as a whole.
There is no getting round that simple cannibalistic fact.
Either profit will go, or humans will go.
Obviously, profit must go, for humanity to survive.
For that, we have to come to the realisation that the sustainment and growth of real wealth for all of humanity cannot even begin until we have properly plumbed into the single real source of all wealth, the sun; our star, as you put it.
I think this is starting to happen in the face of the obvious economic difficulties we are seeing with covid.
Free money undermines the profit machine by removing some of the division necessary for profit.
We can justify it now by pointing out that without it, a very large number of humans now face imminent homelessness and starvation, even in the countries which have profited more from colonialism, the purest form of profit seeking.
We can also justify free money by pointing out that this is how the wealth of our star is propagated; by giving out empowerment, with nothing expected in return.
Once the benefits of this strategy become apparent, big changes can be made towards physically plumbing into our sun for energy, by removing the divisions in humanity, we can work as one towards that common goal, removing our dependence on planetary resources for energy, thus allowing the planetary ecology to recover.
Imagine all of the armed forces of the world re-aligned to one common goal; to plumb in the energy of the sun.
We live in exciting times.
