I've tried to use the technical analysis of the energy system underlying the problems, to explain why we will never fix the problem with the current technical misperceptions of energy, even by mainstream science.
You appear to have the same misconceptions because you use the same flawed reasoning to try to argue we are all doomed.
Maybe we are doomed, but if we are, it's because of plain, profit driven ignorance of how energy, creation, and destruction all work.
Nobody is getting that profit is the thing causing the damage, it's not about greenhouse gases, it's profit causing the destruction. The temperatures measured are a direct measure of destruction, increase of entropy.
Profit is monetised destruction.
So not only do we need to stop oil/fossil fuels, we need to stop profit.
Otherwise we are screwed, we will carry on destroying the planet as an energy scourge, all operating as human worker-ants, until there is nothing left, no life, just a hot lump of inert rock, or maybe even a rock broken out of orbit, with only a small number of hell-damned humans living on a dark planet, scouring the universe for more planets to lay waste to.
The basic problem seems to be we've become so ingrained by profit, since we started doing it, only about 2000 years ago, that we are blind to the systemic effects of it.
You would not be trying to apply arguments of EROI to solar energy if you understood this.
Profit turns us into ants by commodifying education, amongst the commodification of all things.
Its the commodification of us that results in all politics.
The irony is that it's perfectly natural to live by creation, and there can never be too much creation, reversal of entropy.
We could do it effortlessly, if we just opened the purse and let the remaining money fall out.
This would be us monetising solar and at last, creation.
This is why I argue we have to start issuing solar indexed stimulus.
With that, the damage stops, instantly, even the genocide, and the temperature starts to wind back down.
We even have a solar powered Ai now, that looks like it was sent by nature, to demonstrate to us what we need to all learn to do - stop profit.
But nobody seems to pay any attention to the technical analysis. I've said it now for seven years and still mainstream shows no sign of acknowledging it.
So lets try another way, which sounds much more religious and dictatorial, sorry can't be helped:
"The highest authority is nature.
The currency of nature is energy.
There is only one issuer of the currency of nature, it's the sun.
We either use it or burn."
With that law elevated to statutory, all other law derived from, or traced to it, we can't go wrong.
Using the energy of the sun means we monetise it, at market rates of KWhrs received from the sun, and issue it like the energy of the sun is issued to us, for free, then we fix all the problems.
Then, the more folk there are the better.
We can never have too much creation.
