You might accept that the sun is the only source of energy, there is no other.
I've shown the evidence of how to do it using established technology in my research, using 30 thirty years of Engineering experience.
Beliefs like yours seem to be normally due to a lifetime of experience in the world of capitalism, like most of us have, which has no mechanism to account for the continuous energy of the sun, only the energy in capital.
I agree with you, where the green crowd are driven by or even funded by profit, they are just making things worse.
The energy from the sun is a rate of change, of Joules of energy, in other words a flow, whereas the energy in capital is a fixed quantity, which gives a fixed number to put in an account.
If / when you see that, then you will see the real reason we have not gone solar yet.
The truth is, we have to end capitalism, which is the practice of considering all things valuable as capital. When we move to live energy, the only source of which is the sun, pretty much all value in capital ends, and that will be a very good thing, for most people, especially all of our kids.
I belive that they will get to spend most of their lives in a completely different, much better world than the one we've had to date.
