I've always argued that its impossible to control communications platforms without doing harm. The least harmful form of communications platform is uncontrolled. Control the platform, and harm will be done, its as simple as that. The act of controllng a platform is itself a destructive message, something that has to destroy truth.

Nobody really knows the whole truth about anything, though some might know more than others, the physical fact is that truth is s systemic, dynamic thing, it changes from second to second, this is nature, right at the most fundamental level, all the way up, and nobody can predict the future, so nobody should be controlling the communicaitons platforms or networks, it should be an open, resistance free medium.

If we cut off extremists, they just become more extreme. Extremists and folk with psychological delusions can never be educated by the moderate "Saners", if they are just left to fester in their own bubbles.

The only sensible, actually enforcable thing to do is elevate Metcalfe's law to statutory.

All networks should be checked to ensure they are not blocking, rather than being instructed to block this or that. The business of profit itself causes blocking, just by promoting materials that are more profitable, or more emotional, than others, that might be more reassuring. This is why real solutions never see the light of day, because real solutions are anti-profit, identifying actually how to stop the damage done by profit, and algos designed for profit will do just that, they will consistently shadow ban the good stuff, promoting all the bad stuff.

So to honor Metcalfe's law, there should not even be blocking done by for profit algos.

To achieve that, the platform has to be solar powered. This is the only energy available which does not require profit, in fact it insists, it is not physically compatible with profit, full stop.

So the answer, also to stop wrecking the planet, pushing the temperature up, is to solar power all platforms and remove all blocking mechanisms, and just let the public thrash out the truth, about everything, nothing barred.

By that, we will reduce the planetary temperature, instead of always increasing it.
