It's true he did something extraordinary, but we should be careful not to influence other kids into doing anything like it. I don't think Christ volunteered to meet a painful end, whereas Aaron obviously did. He wasn't the first either, there have been others self immolated in history, mostly Buddhists I think. They might have been where Aaron got his inspiration from. And what did it really achieve, not much. Not many who actually moved to stop the carnage will have thought much about Aaron, and probably most of us still don't know whatever it was the Buddhist self imolations we're about.
