Its true but it won't be fixed by blaming people, for something we all participate in (capitalism), even those we might blame for being more instrumental in creating the system, if we just separate into identity politics and blame the "other team" then we are are playing for preservation of the broken system.
We are distracted from the real issue, which is seen just by logic, not so much emotions, imho.
You never know who amongst the Gringos as well as amongst the indigineous, might actually be able to help you fix the system, if you really want it fixed.
To me the solution is in solar indexed stimulus. All developed countries have a large amount of this, not only to give to their own people but also those in need in other countries.
With that stimulus, used in a way to generate more, any island can be made energy independent and very wealthy very quick.
Maybe an island in distress will be where we see this kick off first, who knows.
