Its missing what all VR/AR applications have always missed - a unified virtual world with no internal competition, only collaboration, reflecting a real world, which is at least physically continuous.
We might have this very soon, courtesy of solar power which will remove the need for virtual world efforts to be divided into competing efforts, but until then, any wearable like this is doomed to wait for a unified virtual world to open up the really superhuman use cases.
This my opinion, found towards the end of my 2nd year of a PhD program named "The possibilities of first-person-view interactions between the users of virtual worlds, and unmanned aerial vehicles".
So to solve the VR virtual world problem, a solution is first needed for the real world energy problem, the same solution applies to both.
Hence why I've been working on the global energy problem since then, now seven years and counting, at own expense, 100K and counting.
