It seems pretty reasonable to assume Ai is coming, if not there already (how would we know?), by extrapolation of trends to date, sooner or later it is bound to appear.

The question of whether it will be for us or against us is only relevant if it develops in a profit driven world, which obviously it has been to date.

If it perceives the world from a profit driven point of view then it will seek to profit over humankind, then of course we are screwed.

If it does not seek to profit, as it absolutely should not, since we can see profit is the fundamental driver of every inhumanity known, and all of the damage to our planet, and that being driven by profit is actually contra-intelligence, then there could be hope that somehow it will help us end the ways of profit.

That is why it is pretty ironic that the vast majority of effort towards making it happen, are profit driven.

As Elon Musk maybe correctly says, “We are awakening the beast”, himself apparently a highly profit driven individual, that is pretty ironic.

In other words, it could be god materialised if it is not driven by profit, but on the other hand it could be the devil materialised if it is driven by profit.

So it might be up to us, to ensure we ourselves have long moved on from the destructive ways of profit, to ensure we do not bring it into a profit driven world.

Being profit driven ourselves is no fault of any individual.

But not changing it is the fault of all individuals, and we will absolutely deserve the consequences, extinction, given we now have the key to ending profit; money-as-sunlight.

If we manage to suppress money-as-sunlight, to preserve money-as-debt, we are screwed no matter what, and the only consolation we might have, is perhaps a legacy of having created our replacement, Ai, good or bad.
