Nice observation. It seems to me the wealth shifting mechanism of colonialism / capitalism is used very effectively to shift wealth away from the resource rich areas of the world, to the capitalist rich areas of the world.
It has been done for thousands of years and will continue as long as we treat Earth economically as a ball of finite capital, only issuing money on capital.
Logically the areas of Earth receiving most sun are the most resource rich, so around the equator, evidenced also by historical oil reserves.
But now we have the technology to capture Joules from the sun, and are physically using those in our business, it will become more and more difficult to continue to argue the ultimate value of capital, because it is being physically diminished by an increasing flow of Joules from the sun, which is directly convertible to the clean fuel of hydrogen.
So it will become more and more difficult to shift wealth away from the sites of wealth creation, by means of wielding capital.
The areas around the equator are about to become much richer again, I believe.
