It seems fashionable to use thermodynamics as an argument to excuse ourselves from any blame for being where we are, as if we were not to blame at all, "It was inevitable".
With respect, I guess folk do it with the best of heart, but trying to apply the rules of thermodynamics, which only apply to closed systems, to the open system of nature, does not make much sense.
The truth is plain to see. We have had choice now, to continue ripping energy from Earth for profit, or start accepting it, and valuing it for free, from the sun, for some time now, definitely the past 20 years, arguably for the past 120 years.
All we need to do, to move to sustainability, real sustainability, is issue the money owed to the public, representing the outstanding unmonetised solar product, which is continuing to build up relentlessly, devaluing all money until it is issued accordingly.
I've shown the simple maths and systems analysis proving this, and even how to apply it to utilities energy data to calculate monies outstanding.
No-one needs to be thermodynamicists to understand it, or see whether or not it makes sense, it is simple truth.
But still folk prefer to think its not our fault, it is thermodynamics, or ai, nothing we can control.
