It might be true that the solar system was formed from a gas cloud, but that can't be the end of the story, as we can see energy from source, emitted from the sun, has a distinctly different nature than energy from extraction, which isn't made clear by us only having valued and monetised energy by extraction to date.
Perhaps you can answer this question with simpler logic: Why wouldn't Earth, and all of the solid planets around the sun have been formed by ejection of matter from the sun, at some earlier point in the life of the sun?
