It is you who is not listening to the Engineer (I am a systems Engineer of thirty years experience, including PhD candidate research), making up your own version of things. You would need to read most of the 280 odd stories I've written in Medium, documenting the entire energy system analysis, including where stakeholder profit distorts narratives, for you to be able to make constructive or credible criticism of any specific points there. Musk's reasons for not using fuel cells is simply that his company is doing fine, profit-wise, as is, using toxic batteries, as far as I can see. There is no technical requirement to have batteries used in conjunction with fuel cells, again if that is done in some applications, it is probably in the interests of profit. See I know all this because I've seen all of these tricks working in product design and manufacture. I don't need to quote examples, lots of them make public news. The worst ones end in the deaths of lots of people. I don't know where you get your confidence / belief from, if I had to guess you are maybe an investor, or someone looking to attract investment by sounding expert. Sorry if I've spoiled any of that.
