It is true often people with seemingly everything will try to convince others that all they want is nothing, because maybe they think that is what they need to do to preserve their own privlieged state of having everything, relatively speaking. But now due to energy depletion, it can no longer be denied that depriving others of everything in any way enriches our own lives, in fact it makes us poorer, all of us, to be living on a dying planet, rather than a planet we could all be constructively working towards saving.

I think this is coming home to us now, even those most priveliged historically, the end of the run for scarcity enforcement, and slavery, cruelty, racism, and all the other inhumanity that goes with it, is close now, for all races, genders, and other groups alike.

I think it would help if we quit identity politics to realise this, because race, and gender, and all other cultural divisions only serve as things used as wedges to divide us from this mass awareness.
