It is possible the whole purpose of our existence so far is to find sustainability. Can't read to much into history because some things are unique to now. The difference it makes, being solar powered or not, is something hugely underestimated by being distracted by history, I think.
Is it more important for doomers, to prove you are right by making it always self fulfilling prophecy, that the negative outcome will prevail, as it always has to date, than to have a truly sustainable world?
