It is easy to fall into the belief that humanity is somehow unnaturally growing or is unsustainable when we don’t see the much bigger, but very simple model of energy distribution, I think.

Like having too many breeding and grazing animals in a field, running low on grass, the solution is not to start culling animals (though some of the animals might even think so), or even to look for more field (as might seem natural to the animals), the solution is to find the true source of the grass, and look to it to create more nutrient.

In all cases, the source of nutrient is the sun, and it is infinitely capable, relatively speaking.
