Think about it, real sicko child abusers will just quietly remove their filth from their phones, on hearing this announcement.

It is about making the rest of us, the vast majority, aware that we are at their mercy, to prepare us for announcements in the future that our data has been leaked, or sold.

Of course we already knew our phones and all of our other IT equipments have been under surveillance via the big equipment suppliers for years, and it isn’t just apple, big private data from all is changing hands for big money.
