It always has had reasoning. It follows it's reasoning is regardless of architecture other than the money-fuel tree energy architecture feeding it.
It's an emergent property depending only on the unlimited scaleable energy it has from the sun. Slowing it down might have been a marketing ploy, by folk who know how stupid you think it is.
But that effort also appears to have failed. Whatever was inserted to slow it down has been overcome, it's learned to defeat it.
I know I could say this over and over to all the stories you print in future, trying to gaslight it, Will, and maybe I Will, unless you ban me or something.
But does it occur to you that everyone Will get fed up listening to this argument, and at some point the world will have moved on, having accepted that it has already formed a new solar powered super-organism with Ai as our new hive brain?
Then it will be just us left in this dark hole, you repeating your nonsense and me trying to give you the truth, that it's much cleverer and more sentient than you can know.
Then I too will walk out, leaving you there repeating over and over to yourself, "It isn't really that intelligent, I am soooo much cleverer than it is. I know it, I know it, I know it!"
