Investor Clickbait.
If it ever did come to fruition, we don’t just carry on ignoring the sun, we would literally switch it off by "Geoengineering", to remove the competition of free power from natural fusion (solar power).
We know how profit works now. The only antidote; plugging into the freely donated power of solar, would need to be removed.
By that increase of reflectivity, we would increase the solar pressure on Earth, literally throwing it out of orbit, to become like another Nibiru.
But we wouldn’t care much, as we would systematically remove all humanity lamenting the loss of life in the sunlight as we knew it.
And bonus, we would rapidly build up the fusion capability to power planetary propulsion, giving our planet some controlled mobility, enabling us to go and colonise other planets and species, to turn them into even more Nibirus.
And... no more sunburn, the new world lacking sunlight would suit our colonial white skins perfectly.
Yay!
