Interesting you see Ai as just "curve fitting". And are even so bold as to say it authoritatively to someone who is a world renowned expert on related subjects. If that statement isn't a perfect demo of how far we are removed from understanding, or even being able to detect real Ai, or actually anything much at all, even the global energy and climate problem, I am not sure what is :)
