Interesting stuff. Thanks for posting. Something I noticed whilst out cycling with my daughter during lockdown, was breathing and smelling air that I hadn't since the seventies.
Breathing that air invoked lots of long lost memories, and a return of a little of the way I thought back then, aged ten to early teens, when I first strarted cycling long distances. I didnt do it for fitness, or for any challenge (well maybe a little) but the real motivation was just to see new places, and the exhileration of knowing I could, equipped with bike. I really felt like the world was my oyster.
I honestly thought lockdown was the start of something new, the end of big business and big pollution, that we know has to stop somehow.
It also made me realise how much less valuable the world must seem to kids my daughters age (She was 16 in 2020).
The truth is we ruined it for them.
I totally get why they blame us, and see it as our responsibility to do whatever we can to put it right for them.
