Interesting story, thanks for posting. I know one or two minimalists also. I think many might actually be reluctantly so, though as a matter of pride, they might say otherwise. This ironically means that they too, unwittingly subscribe to the notion that a person is measured by their material wealth, otherwise they would be minimalist in any defence of minimalism. It is only people possessing material wealth who can choose whether or not to be free of it. I hope the ones who make that choice (a) never live to regret it, and (b) donated it to good causes.
