Interesting question, thanks for posting. I think you just scratched the surface of a very large tranche of industry that won't do very well in the paradigm that has to come next. I personally would miss mcdonalds if it completely disappeared, but am sure we coul probably dream up ways to produce things that look and taste similar with artificial meat, which is being worked on, but not yet by mcdonalds.
I believe all companies need to ask themselves thie same question, would they exist in a non profit world.
