Taking it all too seriously (the music), causes us to miss the entertainment value of a lot of it, I think.

Memes are another area where I notice something similar.

If we have no sense of ironic humor, then we don’t really understand any of it, it seems to me.

Worse, those who don’t see the humor in it would see it censored, which just perpetuates the life portrayed.
