Indi this very strong, the most powerful stuff you can write, but please don't miss what is driving it. Yes there are individuals we can identify having higher profile in than others, but if we want to end this tendency of pogroms as you are describing it, we have to identify the real systemic villain, which is an emergent property, and actually completely unnecessary, it is profit, the energy con also destroying Earth.
I think you know this but you/we have to identify it and call it out, put it on notice that it's days are numbered, we will finish it, because if we don't then the final pogrom is going to be done by the planet, if we don't do it ourselves by nuclear war.
Its a population driven by profit that the planet can't afford to keep any longer.
The reaction everyone is having, of attacking whichever weakened / marginalised group can be attacked, is driven by energy shortage, we feel it all around us and react like mice in a cage running out of food.
I wrote a story a few years ago, early in my time in Medium, called "The Mice", look it out, it is more meaningful than ever now and it characrerises us in "pogrom" mode perfectly.
We can change this, end it forever, or we can carry on with it and face the consequences from the planet, which will come, much more rapidly than anyone realises, we are nearly there now, but it still is not too late to turn things round.
Just like the choice you are saying everyone else has, you also have a choice, to point this out or not.
