Indeed we think very much alike, and I am really happy to read your thoughts :)
I hardly ever stop talking about the problem of capital stifling real innovation, to me humanity looks like an engine which has never got started due to fuel being grabbed by all resorvoirs. I've spent the last five years voluntarily impoverishing myself, having seen what is coming, to put together the systems analysis needed to see the solution (I was a formally chartered systems Engineer, starting on this from a related PhD candidate project), but I knew no-one would fund the necessary research.
I have now around 280 stories in Medium documenting the work.
The solution looks obvious to me now; community solar to local microgrids generating hydrogen for 24/7 battery-free backup and supply, to HEV transportation, all funded by what I call "Kardashev Money".
I see this study as identifying a new specialism of Sytems Engineering, I call it "Kardashev Engineering", for want of a better term.
I don't care if I am never recognised for it, I would be perfectly happy to just enjoy being able to get back to a world in which we can put our creative energies to good use again, by not having to worry incessantly about money. I wish this more for my daughter than me, as she has hopefuly more than 80% of her life still to live, whereas I might be down to the last 20% of mine.
