Indeed, thanks for pointing it out Dave, they are deliberately flattening buildings, setting charges in them, calculated clearance, they have no intention of leaving it habitable. Did you notice the proportion of solar panels that were on the roofs of most buildings? The Israelis probably saw those as something pretty evil, because those would have been being used to ease the palestinians towards complete energy independence, removing their requirements to cross the turnstiles into Israel to do low paid work the Israelis didn't want to do, the palestinians having to do that to pay their utilities energy bills. I would estimate them to have been maybe 70% (Compared with our 30% in developed countries) almost completely energy independent, which would have meant the work being done, taxes paid, and all that, was down by 70%, that energy independence would have been seen by Israel as the Palestinians becoming lazy, a growing burden, instead of the economic asset of what an enslaved population should be, powered by extracted energy.
I would not say any individual in Israel would even have been aware of this, its a negatively powered emergent property that is really in charge, not humans, humans are driven by it, mostly without realising it, especially near the top, it seems to me, we know it much more explicitly when we are at the sharp end of poverty.
The scary thing is, working this through to conclusion, as things stand, this is what we are headed for in all countries, when we start to become perceived as lazy, loads rather than anything contributing (To the negative Ai), the populations in all countries becoming domestic and community solar powered could face a similar fate, if the governments themselves do not become also energy independent, issuing all money on the solar energy coming in as solar indexed stimulus. If Israel gets away with the easy solution of genocide, where does it stop?
