An interesting article showing the confusion from UK government perspective is the current spat over what to do with cars failing London ULEZ requirements. There were apparently suggestions to just ship them out to Ukraine.

WTF - export the problem, after we imported all their valuable citizens as refugees, leaving the less valuable to perish in Ukraine, after we started all the trouble by funding the baddies of the Maidan, not to mention also the historical biological weapons development in Ukraine....

ULEZ means "Ultra Low Emissions Zone" - this is a scheme implemented in London, to apparently show willing to address environmental concerns which are actually global, by hammering people driving vehicles within London failing the criteria with what are effectvely massive tax hikes, its caused all kinds of folk to rebel, strike, etc, many vehicles are associated with folks liveliehoods, its obviously a very emotive issue.

Its hilarious to note that even the BBC doesn't seem to be able to work out if it was the mayor himself who made the suggestion, or his office.

The solution that I always bang on about, of introducing a solar indexed stimulus, or solar indexed UBI economy, would remove all these problems by changing what was a punitive policy, to something that would reward doing the right thing, rather than penalising for doing the wrong thing.

This is a natural outcome of moving from scarcity enforcement, to rewarding abundance, as is mechanically linked to positive energy (Energy added to Earth), not negative energy (Energy extracted from Earth).
