Indeed, now perhaps folk will be more receptive to some hard truths about "Renewable Energy", and the expectations that we have many more years yet before things become critical. We have no more time, things are already critical. If we follow the systems analysis through tracing causes to effects, we should see that any and all energy extracted from Earth just prolongs the time we are stuck in the rut of destroying the planet, the whole for-profit business, including all things claimed to be about fixing or managing the environment, at profit, is the thing that needs to be ditched - profit itself is 100% systemically dependent on energy extraction. As long as we practice profit, we are stuffed, there is no getting out of this at profit, all that any profit driven business does, is guarantee more extraction. The idea of net zero is a complete nonsense, as is business claimed to be for carbon capture, all of it just ties us into extraction, which is the thing destroying the planet.
I might sound like a raving maniac saying this, but it is the truth.
The way out is to use the energy of the sun, which means issuing money reflecting reception of it, since that use has the opposite effect of everything we've done by extraction, and money as debt, and profit.
Mainstream science, itself being still mostly for profit has hardly looked at this, they seem to be actually scared to investigate it, maybe thinking it looks religious or something, but this is hard applied physics - Engineering.
