Basically what you appear to be saying, in the nicest possible way, is ditch all social media, just settle for your media.
How receptive will you be to information informing you that technology is not the problem, but actually technology for profit, is the very visible part of the real problem - profit itself.

Sounds religious, so the anti-religionists dismiss this as hogwash, besides the zero sum view is that there is no alternative.
But the physics, and the maths, all stack up with the systems Engineering, which says that the box is no longer closed, it opened around 2005, changing all the rules of the zero sum game in a way it no longer works, not for anyone, there can no longer be winners and losers, though with nothing changed, we are all scheduled to lose.
Technology does give us a way out, but we have to ditch profit to have it.

Personally I think we should hand all power over to Ai, it would do a better job than all those in charge, and with ambitions to be in charge.
