Indeed, I think it has far more potential application as a weapon, than anything else. That might not sound like a good thing, but the real enemy it would be most useful for dealing with, that we could realise after we take our military attention off of our fellow humans, as we might do, when the full benefits of conventional solar become apparent (Will's information didn't include that).
