Indeed, I agree with all of your observations of our condition, and the reasons for it, thanks for posting.

I've been studying what I've seen was a looming energy problem since around 2017 when I was working on a related PhD candidate project (I am a long practicing systems Engineer), and have spent meny thousands of hours tracing out the problem to all stakeholders, with causes and effects, documenting in Medium throughout, now 280+ articles, and some 5000 replies to others, and to me it all comes down to energy, and where we get it from.

It is indeed a grand Ponzi, and since money is effectively energy, it traces to an unsustainable energy Ponzi, and yet there is a very obvious solution which no-one is seeing, because it involves the mathematical end of all capital, which really turns their world upside down.

My mission in Medium has been to try to help educate on this, and why we need to do it, why nature insists we do it, as has become clearer to me with every year further done on it.

Before the stupid business in Ukraine kicked off, I felt like I was making reasonable headway.

But now I see folk's logic being thrown to the wind, many who seemed to be getting their heads around the energy problem, are now bat-shit crazy screaming for more atrocity, so literally not capable of following any logical argument.

My own mother, bless her soul, was certified as mentally ill (bipolar) around the time I was born, I lived with that throughout my early life, learning quickly how to determine when she was ill, and when she wasn't. It became second nature to me to quickly identify flaws in her logic, indicating when a bout of her illness was coming on, and right now I can see the exact same madness in many, many people.

The idiots in charge don't seem to be aware of, or care about the atrocities they are fermenting with the rubbish being spouted by almost every mainstream platform. The current platform seems to be also falling victim.

What to do?

I am honestly not sure. How do we deal with what seems to be a whole world full of dangerously, extremely bipolar people? If I had any doubts what the followers of Htler might have sounded like, I have none now, none at all, it is crystal clear to me. There are even some digging up the various speeches used back then, and reusing them now, advocating for, and defending the killing of children, no less, whilst actual mass killing of children is being carried out by madmen wearing swastikas in Russia.

Any hopes I had, of folk latching onto the only way out of the existential energy crisis we are in, are falling by the wayside, and all the while, time, and energy is running out for all of us.

Folk need to be sane to see it, and they are not sane, as far as I can see.

On words which I think should be abolished, definitely "Renewable Energy". There is no such thing. If looks like an enegy-for-profit instrument conjured up to disguise the real source of all energy (The sun), with a load of things which are supplied by the same exact source, yet being presented as sources themselves, confusing every conversation involving "Renewables". There in't even any actual source on Earth at all, all of it, including us, are works of energy, not energy itself.

If folk could see and understand this, then they might quickly see that life itself, is a work of energy, and it is a crime against nature to destroy any works of nature that we really didn't have to.

As long as we keep doing that, we are literally committing suicide as a species.
