Indeed freedom from ignorance is liberating.

I hope it is a little reassuring to know that the water problems are not going unnoticed. It turns out that the same solution that fixes the environmental problems also assist in fixing the water problems. The reversible process of converting energy to hydrogen also absorbs water. When that hydrogen is transported to the point of consumption, say in a vehicle, water is also transported, and produced in the vehicle consuming the hydrogen.

When the energy at the input originally creating the hydrogen is solar, it turns out also that the most efficient means of capturing solar energy also generates water as a by-product.

https://www.newscientist.com/article/2309773-solar-panel-add-on-pulls-water-from-air-without-consuming-electricity/

So there we see the additional source of water, alongside the collection of solar energy, which can be input to the process of hydrogen generation, and we see also how this will be transported to places that need it at no cost.

The purity of this water ouput again by the hydrogen consumption is very high, and can easily be made drinkable at little if any cost.

It isn't huge amounts per vehicle, but with a large number of vehicles, the ouput becomes huge, enough to make a difference to places with shortages of drinking water.

So by collecting the water output by vehicles and pooling that, we will see some assistance towards the problem of lack of drinking water. This should help any area accessible by vehicles, but still experiencing problems.

The cool thing about this kind of side benefit (And there are lots), is that to help fix the problem, we will actually want to see more activity, or growth of traffic and other human activity consuming hydrogen.

This is the opposite of what folks currently advocating for de-growth would expect.

We might say that by using the sun, we automatically do the same as plants, we add value to Earth by our very existence on Earth.

I think understanding this is the real test of who is and isn't truly naturist.

To be really naturist, we need to also be energyist, understanding that live energy is the base currency of nature, it has one issuer and enforcer, the sun, and it requires we use it, or get our asses burned.

Right now our asses are burning, because we only put it to 10% of our use so far, but we have to go to 100%.
