Indeed but hypotheses are driven by what drives us, even if we don't realise it, we have subconscious reasons for pursuing particular lines of enquiry, our perceptions of what is going on the world, the problems we see that we might feel responsible for having to fix, or contribute to fixing, what are those problems, and what do we think might be the solutions, or what do we think nature is doing, that might be driving things, all of this has to be taken into account, when a hypothesis is formed, I think, we have to question it, no?
